Beinn Suidhe

Beinn Suidhe is a mountain in the Highlands of Scotland. It stands on the route from Glen Etive to Glen Lochy in Argyll and Bute. The summit features a small cairn marking the highest point. The mountain is classified as a Marilyn, Graham and HuMP, terms used for hills of particular prominence. Organisations maintain lists of such hills on the Database of British and Irish Hills. The mountain’s height was last remeasured on 28 October 2001. Efforts are made to record the original Gaelic name for the peak. The surrounding landscape includes steep slopes and open moorland typical of the region. Glen Etive and Glen Lochy frame the approach routes, offering dramatic views. Visitors reach the summit via paths that climb through heather and rocky terrain. The cairn at the top provides a clear landmark. From there, walkers can see across Rannoch Moor and towards Ben Cruachan. The route rewards with quiet solitude and wide Highland vistas.
