Evangelische Pfarrkirche Feffernitz
The Evangelical church in Feffernitz is a small parish church set in the village of Feffernitz, part of the market town of Paternion in Carinthia. It stands under national heritage protection as a listed building. The building itself is a former Tolerance church, built in 1832 and designed in the classical style. Inside, the church keeps a late-baroque altar with a neo-gothic painting at its centre. The organ, made by a builder from Carniola, dates from 1838. A single tower was added to the west front in 1911. The nave has three bays, an upstairs gallery, and a short chancel. Visitors find a quiet, whitewashed interior lit by tall windows. The classical façade faces the village street, while the tower rises above the roof. The churchyard is small and well kept, with a few mature linden trees. The whole site gives an impression of calm and order, typical of Tolerance churches built after the Edict of Toleration.
