Laudach

Laudach is a river in Upper Austria. It flows for 23 kilometres before joining the Alm. The river has two main branches, the longer Äußere Laudach and the smaller Innere Laudach. The Äußere Laudach begins at Laudachsee in Gmunden. It passes through Sankt Konrad, Gschwandt, Kirchham and Vorchdorf. The Innere Laudach starts in Kirchham from two streams, Platzbach and Edlbach. Its waters come from three hills near Hagenmühle in Kirchham. The Laudach meets the Alm south of Bad Wimsbach after flowing through small weirs. Along its course are several artificial ponds. The river’s gentle flow and surrounding hills make it a quiet spot for short walks.
