St David Lutheran Church stands in the Fairwater district of Cardiff. It is a Lutheran place of worship designed by Vernon Kinch and completed in 1961. The building belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of England. It became a grade II listed building in 2007. Apart from small changes to woodwork and new windows, the church remains as it was when first built.

The church was created to serve a growing Lutheran community in Cardiff. Lutheran worship began in central Cardiff during the 19th century. A separate congregation formed in Fairwater after post-war housing was built. The design by Vernon Kinch reflects the needs of a modern congregation. The building has kept its original character despite minor updates.

Inside, the church has a simple and uncluttered interior. The original windows and woodwork are still in place. The space is designed for clear lines and practical use. The building’s modest style suits its purpose. Outside, the surroundings are peaceful and residential. The church remains a quiet place for worship and reflection.
