Aurach

Aurach is a river in Upper Austria that begins near the Hochleckenkogel in the Höllengebirge. It winds through the Aurach Valley, a wooded landscape shared by Altmünster and Pinsdorf. After leaving the valley, the river continues through the foothills past Aurachkirchen until it joins the Ager at Wankham. The river’s course offers quiet spots for short walks beside clear water. Its banks are lined with mixed woodland and occasional farmland, giving a sense of the region’s rural life. The valley’s wooden bridges and small clearings invite brief pauses to watch the current.
