Bachmanning Parish Church
The parish church of Bachmanning stands in the village of Bachmanning in Upper Austria. It is dedicated to Saint Erasmus and belongs to the Diocese of Linz. The building has been protected as a historic monument since the 20th century. A church is first recorded here in 927. The present structure dates largely from the 15th century, though its exterior was renewed later. Inside, the nave and choir are covered by net-ribbed vaults. Frescoes from the late 15th century were uncovered in 1959. The west tower wears a new pointed spire, and the south door carries the date 1489 and heavy late-Gothic ironwork. The pulpit is from the Baroque period. The rest of the furnishings are neo-Gothic, altered in 1959. The left side altar holds a Baroque group showing the Coronation of the Virgin from the early 1700s. A late-Gothic flat relief of the Vesperbild, carved around 1500, was restored in 1955.
