Therme Euskirchen

The Therme Euskirchen is a modern thermal spa in Euskirchen, a town on the northern edge of the Eifel hills in the Rhineland. Built by entrepreneur and architect Josef Wund, the complex opened in December 2015 on a 18 000 m² site. A year later six new saunas were added, and in 2016 the Vitaltherme & Sauna opened. In 2019 the outdoor Paradise Beach was landscaped with 370 tonnes of sand, forty Spanish palms and a beach bar. Since 2026 the spa has belonged to the Therme Group. The spa is divided into three areas. The Palmenparadies is a textile-optional zone with about 500 real South Sea palms across 3 000 m². Inside and outside there are cocktail bars in the water, whirlpools, a steam bath called Eifel-Nebel, a solarium and infrared loungers. A large lagoon at 33 °C doubles as an outdoor swimming pool. Three mineral pools—Selen, Dead Sea and Calcium-Lithium—draw on natural springs. Beyond the building lies the Paradise Beach with its sandy area, beach bar and a natural lake covering 6 500 m². The Vitaltherme & Sauna is clothing-free for visitors aged sixteen and over. Ten saunas and the Auennebel steam bath surround the Blue Lagoon at 33 °C. Outside there is a crystal-water pool, a Dead Sea mineral pool, a diving pool, foot baths, a relaxation pool and a cold arm bath. A separate restaurant serves the sauna area, and the Massage Oase spa offers treatments. The Sportbad has a 25-metre lap pool with five lanes, springboards at one and three metres, starter blocks and a learner’s pool.
