Clydebank F.C.

Clydebank Football Club is a Scottish football club in the town of Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. The club was first formed in 1888 and has a long history with several iterations. The current club emerged in 2003 as a phoenix club after the previous Clydebank team was moved to Airdrie. Supporters fund the club, which now plays in the Lowland League West. The club’s history includes four distinct phases, with the fourth version reaching the Scottish Premier Division in 1978. After financial difficulties led to the loss of their ground, the club played in Dumbarton and Greenock before supporters re-established it in 2003. Under manager Billy McGhie, the team won promotion to the West Super League Premier Division in 2011 and again in 2017 after relegation. Visitors to Holm Park Community Football Academy find a refurbished ground with modern facilities. The stadium has hosted record crowds, including 3,700 fans at the 2009 Scottish Junior Cup final. The club’s honours include winning the West of Scotland Football League Premier Division in 2024–25 and the Central League Cup twice. The groundshare with Maryhill F.C. during renovations added to the club’s adaptability.
