Evangelische Pfarrkirche Eisentratten

The Evangelische Pfarrkirche Eisentratten is a small Protestant parish church in the village of Eisentratten in Carinthia. It stands under official protection as a listed building. The church was built in the early 19th century, with the western gable dated 1802. The building is a Toleranzbethaus, a type of church permitted after the Tolerance Edict of 1781. Its pilastered nave mixes baroque and classical forms, and the curved organ gallery rests on six columns. A golden sphere with a cross and weather vane tops the gable, below which the Luther rose is carved. A small onion dome was added to the roof in 1952. Inside, the early 19th-century pulpit-altar and octagonal font with a neo-baroque cover showing a baptism scene remain. The organ dates from 1860 and stands on the curved gallery. Plain white walls and simple wooden pews give the interior a quiet, uncluttered feel.
