Britannia Row Studios

Britannia Row Studios was a recording studio in Islington, London. Pink Floyd built it in 1975 in a three-storey block at 35 Britannia Row. The band recorded Animals and parts of The Wall there. Nick Mason, the drummer, later owned the studio. In 1995 it moved to Fulham, where it stayed until 2015. The studio is worth the journey for its links to Pink Floyd. Animals and The Wall were recorded there. The school chorus for Another Brick in the Wall was also made there. Nick Mason took over ownership after the band. Kate Koumi managed it for years before moving it to Fulham. Visitors find the original building in Islington still standing. Some parts became a training facility for the London School of Sound. The Fulham site is now flats. Britannia Row Productions, the equipment company, started there. Queen played a 1976 Hyde Park show with its sound system.
