Lochan na h-Achlaise is a freshwater loch in the Highlands of Scotland, set in the Rannoch Moor. It lies north of Loch Bà and north-west of Lochan na Stainge and Loch Buidhe. The loch stretches about 1.28 kilometres in length and is slightly less than 1.2 kilometres wide at its broadest point. Its shape is uneven, with a maximum width of roughly 531 metres. The loch covers about 2.59 square kilometres and has a mean depth of 2.89 metres, reaching up to 8.5 metres in its deepest spot.

The water surface sits 235 metres above sea level, feeding a burn that flows north-east through a culvert under the A82 bridge to Loch Bà. Several large and small islands dot the loch, adding to its varied shoreline. The A82 road runs along the eastern edge of the loch, offering a clear view of the water from the roadside.

Visitors can walk along the loch’s edge or stop at the roadside pull-offs to take in the moorland and water views. The islands and uneven shape make the shoreline interesting to explore on foot. The surrounding Rannoch Moor adds a wild, open landscape to the scene.
