Meall a’ Chrasgaidh is a grassy Munro in the Fannich range, 21 kilometres south-east of Ullapool. It stands on a north–south ridge with two other Munros, Sgurr nan Clach Geala and Sgurr nan Each. The mountain reaches 934 metres and its name means ‘hill of the crossing’. A broad col at 819 metres to the south links the Fannichs and allows passage between lochs a’ Bhraoin and Fannich. The rounded shape shows three ridges, two of which drop gently to the River Droma.

The mountain is valued for its easy access from the A832 and A835 roads just to the north. Walkers often combine it with the higher Fannich peaks, using the col as a natural waypoint. The eastern slopes are the steepest, offering a scramble down to Loch a’ Mhadaidh. From the loch the hillside rises in moderate steps of grass, heather and mica-schist rock. All water from the slopes flows west to Loch Broom and the sea at Ullapool.

The summit holds a 1.5-metre cairn and gives clear views to An Teallach fifteen kilometres away. To the north the Coigach and Assynt hills appear across moorland. The south and south-east are blocked by the two highest Fannichs, Sgurr nan Clach Geala and Sgurr Mòr, which still frame an impressive scene. The col itself contains a small lochan and boggy ground, marking the main crossing of the range.
