The Frauensee is a small lake in the Tiroler Seenland near Kramsach. It lies at the foot of the Voldöppberg, just north of the Inn valley, though it is not counted as a mountain lake. The lake covers 1,8 hectares and measures 150 metres by 120 metres. In 1973 it was declared a natural monument and today it is protected as a nature reserve.

The lake is fed mainly by hillside water and its southern outlet drives a feed-mill downstream. The mill still uses the water to turn its machinery, keeping the old tradition alive. The surrounding area is quiet and little changed, with only a narrow path skirting the shore.

Visitors walk a single track that circles the lake, passing through damp meadows and patches of woodland. Dragonflies skim the surface while water birds rest on the margins. The reflections of the Voldöppberg appear in the still water, making a simple but satisfying scene.
