Victoria Road

Victoria Road stands in Port Talbot, a town on the south coast of Wales. It is a field sports stadium on Victoria Road, surrounded by residential streets and light industry. The ground has a single main stand with bench seating and open terraces on the other three sides. Port Talbot Town F.C. have played there since the club’s formation in 1901. The record attendance of 2,640 came in a cup tie against Swansea City in January 2007. The stadium is small but has a long local history. Between 1994 and 2010 the average league crowd was only 207, so in 2013 the club tried a pay-what-you-want match against Bala Town. The record league gate of 804 was set for a game against Afan Lido in January 2004. Despite modest numbers, the ground remains the club’s home and a focus for local football.
