Memorial Johann David Ludwig Yorck von Wartenburg

The Yorck Memorial stands on Bebelplatz in Berlin’s Mitte district. It honours Ludwig Yorck von Wartenburg, a Prussian field marshal and freedom fighter who lived from 1759 to 1830. The bronze statue was created between 1840 and 1855 by Christian Daniel Rauch in neoclassical style.
