The Zinggetz is a 2971-metre peak in the Schobergruppe range, standing on the border between East Tyrol and Carinthia. It lies at the head of the Peischlachbach and Moosbach valleys, where the western flanks drop toward Peischlachtörl and the eastern slopes descend to the Gössnitzbach valley floor. The summit sits between the Nördlicher Gridenkarkopf to the south and the Tramerkamp to the north-east.
Climbers reach the rarely visited Zinggetz via the Kesselkeesscharte, below which the remains of the Peischlachkesselkees glacier can still be seen. Walkers approach the col either from the west through Lucknerhaus and Peischlachtörl or from the east by way of the Elberfelder Hütte. From the col the route crosses the three Gridenkarköpfe and then follows the ridge crest along the southern arête to the summit.
The final ascent is straightforward, but the mountain sees few visitors. An alternative line starts from the Tramerkampscharte and climbs the Tramerkamp before joining the main ridge. Views from the top stretch across the Schobergruppe’s high peaks and deep valleys.
