Nassacher Höhe

The Nassacher Höhe stands in the Haßberge range, a ridge of wooded hills in Lower Franconia. It rises just above the village of Nassach, part of Aidhausen, and is crowned by two tall broadcasting towers. The Rennweg, an old trade route now used by walkers, crosses the summit plateau. The height of the hill is 512.2 m, making it the highest point in the Haßberge. The towers are visible for many kilometres across the surrounding countryside. The forest cover and the open summit give wide views in every direction. Visitors reach the top along paths from Nassach or nearby villages. The Rennweg itself is a broad track suitable for hiking. At the summit the towers stand beside a small clearing, and the air is noticeably cooler among the beeches and oaks.
