Eisarena Salzburg

Eisarena Salzburg is an indoor ice sports arena in Salzburg, Austria. It opened in 1960 and hosts ice hockey and figure skating events. The building sits in a flat part of the city near the Salzach river. Four teams call it home: EC Red Bull Salzburg plays in the Austrian Hockey League. Red Bull Hockey Juniors compete in the Alps Hockey League. EC Oilers Salzburg and Ravens Salzburg use the rink for lower divisions. The arena matters because it is the only large indoor ice venue in the region. It stages top-level league matches every week. National and international tournaments also take place here. The ice surface measures 60 by 30 metres, meeting international standards. Over the decades it has trained many players who later joined elite clubs. Inside, the main hall seats 3,400 spectators on two tiers. A modern scoreboard and lighting system improve the viewing experience. The lobby displays trophies and team photographs. Outside, the car park and tram stop make access easy. The arena’s plain exterior hides a busy calendar of training sessions and public skating sessions.
