Kufstein Arena

The Kufstein Arena stands in the town of Kufstein on the banks of the Inn river in Tirol. It began as a sports hall beside the town’s sport centre at Fischergries and has grown into a large multi-purpose venue. The name now covers the whole cluster of facilities there, including the Grenzlandstadion, a public swimming pool, tennis courts, an ice arena and a basketball court. The arena hosts events in sport, culture and business. A new ice arena next door will allow bigger trade fairs to be held across the Innsbruck–Kufstein–Rosenheim region. Seating for concerts reaches about 1 800 people, while smaller shows can be set up with little extra work. The local basketball club, the Kufstein Towers, plays its home games here. Visitors find a wide hall used for concerts, sports matches and shows. The adjoining ice arena adds winter events to the calendar. Outside, the sport centre’s other pitches and courts remain open for public use. The Inn river flows past the edge of the site, giving a calm setting for the busy programme inside.
