The Dominikanerinnenkirche Maria Verkündigung stands in Feldkirch’s Altenstadt quarter, a Roman Catholic convent church joined to the Dominikanerinnenkloster by a connecting passage. Beside it rises a chapel first recorded in 1442, while the choir was added between 1640 and 1642 and the nave rebuilt in 1695. A modern Rieger organ from 1966 fills the interior with sound.

The building shows layers of craftsmanship across the centuries. The late-medieval chapel anchors the site, the early-17th-century choir displays restrained Baroque forms, and the late-17th-century nave carries simple ribbed vaults. The church’s modest scale and whitewashed walls focus attention on its liturgical furnishings.

Inside, the 1966 organ occupies the west end above the entrance. Plain plaster surfaces frame a single aisle leading to the raised choir, where tall windows throw clear light on the altar. The chapel beside the nave holds a small, ancient stone altar, its age visible in worn edges and faded colour.
