Albuzzano

Albuzzano is a small town in Lombardy, about 30 kilometres south of Milan and 9 kilometres east of Pavia. It covers roughly 15 square kilometres and has around 2,500 residents. The area includes several smaller villages and hamlets such as Barona, Cascina De Mensi, and Torre d’Astari. Albuzzano shares borders with nearby towns like Belgioioso and Vistarino. The town sits in the flat Po Valley, surrounded by farmland and quiet countryside. Fields of maize and rice stretch out beyond the built-up area, giving the landscape a calm, rural feel. A few old farmhouses and small churches dot the countryside, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. Visitors can walk through Albuzzano’s quiet streets or explore the smaller hamlets nearby. The town has a simple, unhurried pace, with local shops and cafés where residents gather. From higher points, the view stretches across the plain towards Pavia and the distant Apennine foothills.
