Pfarrkirche
The St George’s Church in Rimbach stands in the centre of the village on Cardinal-Döpfner-Straße. It is a simple aisleless church with a narrower chancel and a small bell tower rising above the west wall. The roof is covered with red tiles and ends in a bulbous dome. The church holds traces of its long history. The oldest piece is a late-Gothic sacrament house from 1502, carved with a relief of Christ. The high altar dates from 1790 and is framed by praying angels, while the side altars carry statues of the Virgin Mary, Christ and local saints. A 1910 restoration revealed medieval foundations beneath the floor. Inside, a painted Stations of the Cross runs round the walls, and a First World War memorial hangs on the right. Over the chancel arch a gilded crucifix floats in a cloud of stucco. The churchyard contains weathered tombstones, including one dated 1530 that names a Würzburg councillor.
