The parish church in Steinhaus stands in the village of Steinhaus in Upper Austria’s Wels-Land district. Built in 1683, it replaced an earlier church first recorded in 1270. The tower, added in 1793, wears a distinctive onion dome. A south chapel was added in 1882, dedicated to Saint Joseph. The building carries official protection as a listed monument.

Inside, the single nave has three bays under barrel vaulting with lunette windows. The choir, also vaulted, has two bays ending in a three-sided apse. The high altar, dating from 1693, is a fine example of Baroque craftsmanship. The pulpit, richly carved, belongs to the late 17th century. Johann Baptist Carlperger carved the statues that adorn the altar.

The church’s bells date from the 15th and 16th centuries. The largest, weighing 840 kg, was cast in 1492 by Master Veit of Enns. A smaller bell of 100 kg followed in 1522. The smallest, at 50 kg, dates from 1518. The interior’s quiet vaults and polished altarpieces create a calm space for reflection.
