25 Churchill Place

25 Churchill Place stands in the eastern part of Canary Wharf, the London financial district. The 118-metre skyscraper has 23 storeys and was completed in 2014. Canary Wharf Group developed the building, with Kohn Pedersen Fox designing it. Planning permission was granted in November 2008 after an application in April 2008. The tower was planned as an energy-efficient office building with lifts that could store and reuse energy. It was designed to include 19 storeys of grade A office space. The building’s construction began in February 2012, with Canary Wharf Contractors Limited as the main contractor. By February 2013, the final section of the steel frame was installed, marking a major milestone. The tower was completed and opened in 2014. Ernst & Young has occupied floors 11 to 21 since 2015. The European Medicines Agency once took floors 1 to 10 but relocated due to Brexit, with WeWork now subletting the space. Inside, the building provides modern office floors for major companies. The lifts incorporate energy-reuse systems to improve efficiency. The tower’s height and design make it a prominent feature of Canary Wharf’s skyline. Its location places it near other landmarks like One Canada Square. The building reflects the area’s role as a key financial hub in London.
