U3

The U3 is a metro line in Vienna that opened in 1991. It runs 13.4 kilometres from Ottakring in the west to Simmering in the east, serving 21 stations along the way. The line crosses the city centre, linking key points such as Volkstheater and Stephansplatz. It connects with every other U-Bahn line except the Badner Bahn. The route passes through districts like Neubau and Landstraße, giving access to shops, offices and homes. The U3 is worth the journey because it connects important places quickly. At Volkstheater passengers can change to U2, while at Stephansplatz they can reach U1. Landstraße station links to U4, and Westbahnhof to U6.
