A private farmhouse museum called Auf der Puit stands in Ebersbach, a village in the Weichs municipality of Dachau district. Alois Kammermeier, a Munich local historian, assembled the collection between 1983 and 1996. Two main buildings from the 18th century form the core of the site. One is the Doimerhaus, a full farmer’s house moved here in 1983 after being dismantled in Günzenhausen. The other is a cottager’s house from Pasenbach, rebuilt here after plans to place it on the Glentleiten open-air museum fell through.

The Doimerhaus shows how a prosperous farm operated. Its living quarters and barn were joined in one structure, with the barn later rebuilt in brick during the 19th century. The cottager’s house contains the only surviving original room, a bedroom now arranged as a shoemaker’s workshop. Nearby stands a reconstructed bakehouse from Mittermarbach, built in 1893, which holds tools from the pre-industrial farming era. The whole farmyard is arranged as a three-sided enclosure typical of Bavarian village layouts.

Today the property belongs to Simon Kammermeier, Alois’s son, who continues to run the farm. Visitors walk past the restored buildings and see the bakehouse’s collection of wooden rakes, flails and other hand tools. The setting remains a working farm, so the fields and outbuildings give a sense of daily rural life. The museum offers a quiet look at how farming families lived and worked over two centuries ago.
