The Roman Catholic parish church of St Veit stands in the village of Sankt Veit in der Gegend, a short drive from Mühlen in the Murau district of Styria. Built in the late twelfth century, the church has been rebuilt after fires and renovated in the early twentieth century. It is protected by national listing for its historic fabric.

Inside, the late-baroque high altar fills the east end with a free-standing tabernacle and a painting of St Veit by Johann Lederwasch dated 1783. The four-bay nave has baroque wall-pilasters and a vault of barrel ribs with lunettes. Side altars from the mid-eighteenth century show a Marian altar with a chronogram of 1763 and a Sebastian altar painted by A. Jantl in 1757.

The churchyard contains a single figural Roman gravestone set into the south side of the tower. The organ, rebuilt in 1871, dates from the early nineteenth century. A bell cast by Lorenz Pez in 1656 still rings for services today.
