St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel

The St Pancras Renaissance London Hotel occupies the former Midland Grand Hotel at St Pancras station in the London Borough of Camden. The station is one of London’s main rail termini and the final stop for Eurostar trains to Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam. The hotel was created by restoring much of the original 1873 building designed by George Gilbert Scott. After serving as railway offices for decades, the structure was redeveloped between 2005 and 2011. Its 76-metre clock tower remains a landmark above the station. The hotel is worth visiting for its grand public rooms and preserved Victorian details. The restored main rooms and some bedrooms recall the Midland Grand’s original luxury. The taxi driveway under the tower now forms the hotel’s lobby. A new bedroom wing was added to meet modern needs while keeping the building’s character. The hotel also contains two restaurants, two bars and a ballroom for guests and events. Visitors find 244 bedrooms, a health and leisure centre and 20 meeting rooms. The Chambers Club once offered exclusive access to certain rooms, but this closed in 2025. The building has appeared in films such as Batman Begins and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2. Its Gothic architecture and location near King’s Cross and Euston stations make it a notable stop in central London.
