BBC Radio nan Gàidheal

BBC Radio nan Gàidheal is a Scottish Gaelic radio station run by BBC Scotland. It broadcasts from Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. The station shares its building on Seaforth Road with BBC Alba and MG Alba. It began in 1985 when two earlier Gaelic services merged. Before that, Gaelic programmes had been on air since 1923.
