Rohnspitze

The Rohnspitze is a mountain peak in the Austrian Alps, standing 2 498 metres above sea level. It lies in the Bludenz district of Vorarlberg, about 500 kilometres west of Vienna. The mountain rises 229 metres above the surrounding terrain, with a base width of 1.5 kilometres. The nearest town is Schruns, 16.9 kilometres to the southwest. The landscape around the peak is mostly rugged and steep. The area is sparsely populated, with only 47 people per square kilometre. Most of the land is covered in grassy meadows and open slopes. The high altitude means the vegetation stays low, giving wide views across the valleys below. The mountain’s isolation makes it a quiet spot for those seeking peace and open space.
