Brána Všech svatých

The All Saints Gate belongs to the fortification system of Olomouc. For centuries the city was ringed by walls, ramparts and gates, and counted among the most important fortress towns of Moravia. Gates such as this one controlled access to the inner town, secured its defence and marked the boundary between the city and the countryside beyond. The structure takes its name from All Saints. Today it stands as a quiet witness to a military past that once shaped daily life within the walls.
