Cruach Innse
Cruach Innse is a mountain summit standing between Fort William and Loch Leven in the Grampians of the Scottish Highlands. It reaches 787 metres above sea level and is marked by a small cairn with a rock 15 metres to the south-south-west. The mountain is listed as a Marilyn, a Corbett and a HuMP, categories used by hill-walking groups to classify summits by height and prominence. Its height was last re-surveyed on 15 January 2003 and the name is being sought in its original Gaelic form. Several organisations maintain the official lists of British and Irish hills, publishing them together on the Database of British and Irish Hills website. The mountain appears in the list of Scottish summits over 610 metres and also in the list of Munros above 3 000 feet. A visitor climbs through moorland and heather before reaching the final rocky slopes. The summit offers wide views across the surrounding glens and towards Ben Nevis on clear days. The route is straightforward for experienced walkers and the cairn provides a clear point to aim for near the top. The mountain lies within a landscape of rolling hills and deep valleys typical of the western Highlands.
