Capuchin Monastery Olomouc

The Capuchin monastery with the church of the Annunciation stands in the historic centre of Olomouc. The Baroque complex was built in the second half of the seventeenth century and comprises, besides the church, the monastery building with a later southern wing, the monastery gardens and two surviving stretches of the enclosure wall. Its plain and restrained architecture matches the spirit of the Capuchin order and forms a quiet counterpoint to the city's ornate palaces.
