Spotland Stadium stands in the Spotland district of Rochdale, Greater Manchester. It is a multi-purpose sports ground that hosts both football and rugby league matches. The stadium is home to Rochdale Association Football Club and the Rochdale Hornets Rugby League Football Club. Originally known as St Clement’s Playing Fields, it became a sports venue in the 19th century. The ground has been the club’s permanent home since 1907, after earlier football and rugby clubs used the site.
