Holy Trinity Church

Holy Trinity Church stands in Bolventor, a village in Cornwall, south-west England. Built between 1846 and 1848, it served as the parish church until 1981. The building was designed to hold 150 people and cost £666 to construct. Francis Rashleigh Rodd of Trebartha Hall laid the foundation stone in July 1846. The Exeter Diocesan Church Building Society contributed £100 towards its construction. It was consecrated by Henry Phillpotts, Bishop of Exeter, on 7 July 1848. The church was restored in 1965 but closed in June 1981 due to falling congregation numbers. It became a Grade II listed building in 1988. Private owners bought it in 2011 and gained permission to convert it into a residence. A partial conversion was completed before the church was sold again in 2018. Inside, the church retains its original features such as the nave and chancel. The stonework and windows remain largely unchanged from the 19th century. The building sits in a quiet village setting surrounded by rolling Cornish countryside. Its exterior still reflects the simple Gothic style of the 1840s. The interior, though partly altered, keeps the atmosphere of a mid-19th century place of worship.
