Regent's University London

Regent’s University London stands in Regent’s Park, a green heart of central London. The campus occupies the former South Villa Estate, once leased by Bedford College in 1908. Architect Basil Champneys designed new buildings opened by Queen Mary in 1913. After bomb damage in the Second World War the site was repaired and enlarged. Bedford College left in 1985 and Regent’s College moved in, later becoming a university in 2013. The private university is now part of Galileo Global Education. The university is one of six private universities in the UK. It teaches across four schools: arts and culture, business, psychotherapy and psychology, and law. The business school belongs to several sector bodies including AACSB and BGA. The psychology school works with UKCP and the British Psychological Society. In 2025 it gained a silver rating in the UK’s Teaching Excellence Framework and became a certified B Corp. Visitors find a campus of elegant early 20th-century buildings set among lawns and trees. The student body of 2,405 is highly international, with more than half from outside Europe. The Student Union organises sports, fitness classes and many societies. Among notable graduates are fashion model Eleonore von Habsburg, comedian Ruby Wax and Malaysian former head of state Sultan Muhammad V.
