Sundown Adventureland

Sundown Adventureland is a children’s theme park in Rampton, Nottinghamshire. It began in 1968 as a small farmyard attraction in the Rhodes family’s back garden. Over the years it grew into a full theme park with more than thirty rides and attractions. The park is divided into themed areas such as fantasy, Wild West, pirate and fairytale. It also offers walkthrough attractions and outdoor play zones designed for young children. The park is recognised for its interactive features. Many attractions respond when buttons are pressed, producing visual and audio effects. Three dining areas serve themed meals: Honey’s Pumpkin Patch Café, Crash Landings and Rodeo Corral. Rodeo Corral and Crash Landings both include soft play areas for younger visitors. In 2020 it was voted the fourth-best theme park in the UK and the sixteenth-best in Europe by TripAdvisor. Visitors find a mix of rides, play zones and animal exhibits. The original farmyard animals are still part of the park’s charm. Families can enjoy themed dining while children explore interactive attractions. The outdoor play areas provide space to run and climb. The park’s layout makes it easy to move between different zones. It remains a popular destination for families with young children.
