Beinn a' Bhuiridh

Beinn a’ Bhuiridh is a mountain top in the Scottish Highlands. It lies on the route between Glen Etive and Glen Lochy in Argyll and Bute. A small cairn marks the highest point of the ridge. The mountain is listed as a Marilyn, a Corbett and a HuMP by hill societies. These lists rank hills by height and prominence. The mountain’s height was last remeasured on 28 October 2001. Organisations such as the Database of British and Irish Hills collect and verify these records. The name is kept in its original Gaelic form. Efforts are made to preserve local place names across Scotland. Visitors reach the summit by following paths from either glen. The view from the top takes in wide stretches of the Highlands. On clear days Ben Nevis and other peaks appear in the distance. The ridge walk offers steady climbing without technical difficulty.
