Blackfield & Langley F.C.

Blackfield & Langley F.C. is a football club in the village of Blackfield, near Southampton. It plays at Gang Warily Recreation Ground, a ground next to the Fawley Refinery. The club has been based there since moving from an earlier site. Local rivals include Fawley and Hythe & Dibden. The ground has space for 2,500 spectators, with 180 seats. The club was founded in 1935 and has won several league titles and cups. It claimed the Hampshire Premier League Premier Division in 2012–13 and 2017–18. In 2018–19 it won Division One South to reach the Southern League. The club also lifted the Russell Cotes Cup in 2014–15, beating Horndean 2–0 in the final. Its best FA Cup run reached the fourth qualifying round in 2012–13. Visitors find a modest ground with a small seated stand. The pitch sits beside the refinery, giving a distinctive backdrop.
