Belvedere Palace – Baroque splendour and Klimt’s "Kiss"
The Belvedere is a magnificent Baroque palace complex built in the early 18th century as the summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy. The Upper and Lower Belvedere are linked by an elegant terraced garden.
Today the Upper Belvedere houses the Austrian Gallery with the country’s most famous painting: Gustav Klimt’s "The Kiss". Art, architecture and the view across the gardens to Vienna’s old town make a visit unforgettable.
