Nassfeld

Nassfeld is a town and ski resort in the Austrian state of Carinthia, located below the Nassfeld Pass. It sits near Lake Pressegg, where swimming is possible in summer and ice skating in winter. The area is known for its outdoor activities year-round, including skiing, snowboarding, and mountain hiking. The resort is popular for its extensive facilities. It has over 1,000 kilometres of hiking trails and 30 ski lifts, including gondolas and chairlifts. There are 220 snow machines to maintain slopes and 110 kilometres of ski tracks. The Millennium-Express cable car reaches the summit at 1,919 metres in under 15 minutes. The resort spans elevations from 600 to 2,000 metres and features one of Carinthia’s longest runs, Carnia, at 7.6 kilometres. Visitors find well-organised slopes and trails suited to different levels. The summit offers wide views across the Alps. Lake Pressegg provides a scenic spot for summer swims or winter skating. The resort’s sunny summer weather, with temperatures between 5 and 15 degrees Celsius, makes it a year-round destination.
