Nikolaihof Mautern

The Nikolaihof in Mautern is regarded as Austria’s oldest wine estate – its roots reach back to Roman times and the Roman fort of Favianis. Wachau wine has matured in its historic vaulted cellars for some two thousand years.

The Saahs family farms the estate strictly biodynamically (Demeter) and produces outstanding Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. A wine tavern and restaurant in the old walls invites you to taste the wines and regional cuisine.
