Vienna Hofburg – seat of Habsburg power
For over 600 years the Vienna Hofburg was the centre of Habsburg power, and today it is the official residence of Austria’s Federal President. The sprawling palace complex in the heart of the city unites buildings from seven centuries.
Highlights include the Imperial Apartments, the Sisi Museum, the Imperial Treasury and the world-famous Spanish Riding School with its Lipizzaner horses. A tour leads straight into the history of the Habsburg empire.
